A Fox and Crow Classic
Enjoy this Jim Davis classic Fox and Crow comic story from Real Screen Comics 45!
nickramer, they are working for everyone...maybe its a trouble on your PC? Well, when I click on one of the pictures for a close up, my computer just shows me a broken Jpg.
What do you mean with "reuploaded"? Was it already available on the web? Thad used to have this comic story up on his now closed Golden Age Funnies site.
Thanks Thad, I were not evcen aware of the existence of Jim Davis before you started to highlight his work. Since then I've managed to collect several comicbooks starring his stories. He sure was a great artist and this is quite amazing, considering he was also a very prolific one. He did thousands of stories for "Real Screen Comics", "Fox and Crow", "Comics Cavalcade" and "Flippity and Flop".
Davis worked for the All Comics Group (ACG). His stuff also showed up in Giggle and Ha-Ha. He definitely wrote all of it as well as drew. I don't think he was doing Columbia character work until late '49/early '50.
Christopher, don't know about the last one, but I guess the first one was the comic adaptation of "The Fox and the Grapes" in Real Screen Comics 1. The stories in the first numbers were drawn by director Bob Wickersham by the way.
Wow! That was great! Better then what the current Davis is doing. :D Do you have more Fox & Crow to post? Sorry, but those two are like potato chips. You can't read just one. ;)
