Disturbing Cartoons: "Swing Wedding"
I know this is hardly to believe...what the heck, this is not a Bakshi animated feature but an Harman-Ising cartoon ( namely, "Swing Wedding") from the Golden Age!
YES, folks! The trumpet player goes berserk--he turns one of his trumpet valves into a syringe and injects himself in the arm with a sly wink!

Oh wow...I own this cartoon but I never noticed that part. I know a lot of jazz muscicians sang about drugs, some actually did them, some didn't. Are you sure that wasn't supposed to be locoweed or opium? btw Cab Calloway makes a great frog.

I think it´s priceless. But a lot of it is figure of speaking. He likes jazz so much that he "got it in his vains".
But you´ll be send to jail for making something like that today...

How this scene passed muster with MGM, which distributed the cartoon, and the Production Code Administration. Wow!
