The Green Line

One of the most celebrated work of Tytla during his Terry days was the animation of the fight betwen Mighty Mouse and the demon cat in "The Green Line". Enjoy it.

See ya around,

I've long thought that "The Green Line" is a masterpiece. I haven't timed it, but this scene must not take more than thirty seconds, max.
The pacing is very fast and intense, and yet the detail is nothing short of amazing, especially near the end of the clip when Mighty Mouse, in a move as quick as the blink of an eye, flies face-on toward the camera. It's so fast it's startling, and effect is almost like 3-D. This little, almost forgotten, seven-minute cartoon is a testimony to Tytla's genius. Even the chimney and the cumulus clouds in the background are beautifully done. How many animators would care about such details?

All of "Jekyll and Hyde Cat" is also on dailymotion. But whoever converted it used the wrong screen ratio.
