Hello once More Andrea,
Leviathan. I still haven't seen the cartoon, but i must comment one the excellent quality of your screenshots. It makes me not want to ever see a TV print.
Good Job, Andrea, Hope to hear more from you soon.
Your pal, LEviathan

Wow, I can't wait to see what Famous cartoons you post next. What else did this French network air? I am amazed that versions with full Paramount titles still exist (and in such amazing shape!). I really enjoy the early Noveltoons and its a shame all we have available to us are the awful public domain prints (sadly, it seems Viacom/Paramount will never give them a proper release).
Leviathan, if you do feel the need to track down "Campus Capers" it is on one of the Cartoon Craze $1 discs in the USA (called LET'S SING WITH POPEYE)... sadly, it is a pretty beat up print including a splice that cuts off the cartoon's ending!!

You're spoiling us, Andrea. Keep it coming(are you still planning to put up that one Terrytoon?).

Ok, Nic.
I'll try to do that for you.
Anyway, that cartoon, even if Maltin said that is beautiful, is horrible!
No more than an unimaginative remake of a Van Beuren's Tom and Jerry !

Just watched again that cartoon ("The Magic Pencil").
It is not so bad as I re-membered it, but, IMHO, it is not a masterpiece.
It is a very good cartoon, even if Maltin probably wrote too well about it.

Thank you. I didn't know that cartoon wasn't really great. Then again, Maltin said the Woody cartoon from '50s were bad, though in my opinion, the cartoons didn't get unwatchable until Sid Marcus left the studio in 1966.
